A-Champs Acquires Goal Station to Advance Cognitive Training in Football

A-Champs has acquired Goal Station, a Danish innovator in smart football training environments. The acquisition unites both companies to create an integrated ecosystem for cognitive, technical, and physical player development.

Advancing Cognitive Training in Modern Football

Modern football increasingly values intelligence, perception, and rapid decision-making. Traditional drills often fail to replicate the tempo and pressure of real match conditions, creating a gap between technical skill and game awareness. The combined Goal Station and A-Champs system closes this gap by applying the Perceive–Process–Execute framework, embedding real-time decision-making into realistic, game-like training situations.

This approach strengthens Football IQ development by linking movement, perception, and cognitive control—helping players translate training directly into improved match performance.

Technology That Enhances Player Performance

A-Champs' patented ROX technology delivers multisensory stimulation using light, sound, and vibration. Integrated with Goal Station’s modular training setups—including smart rebounders, mobile systems, and arena configurations—the platform captures detailed performance data and enables measurable improvements in player development. Training insights and performance data can be accessed through the Goal Station app.

Elite Coaching Expertise Behind the Methodology

“We are very excited about this strategic move,” said Kilian Saekel, CEO of A-Champs. “We’ve worked with Goal Station for years. Now, offering the full solution under one roof, I’m proud to say we have the most advanced football performance training ecosystem on the planet.”

The Goal Station methodology was developed by Brian Sørensen, head coach of Everton FC Women, and is rooted in elite coaching and performance science. Sørensen applied the system at Fortuna Hjørring, helping the club rise from Denmark’s second division to the UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarterfinals in just two seasons.

Twenty of the 26 players he worked with advanced to top-tier clubs, with several, including Nadia Nadim and Pernille Harder, crediting the methodology as a meaningful part of their development.

Growing Adoption Among Professional Football Clubs

Goal Station technology is used by more than 50% of Bundesliga clubs, over 40% of Danish Superliga teams, and clubs across LaLiga, the Premier League, and Major League Soccer. The acquisition also strengthens Goal Station's expansion in the United States, where interest in data-driven and cognitive training continues to grow among professional clubs, academies, and performance facilities.

Together, A-Champs and Goal Station are redefining football training by combining cognitive science, technology, and performance data to accelerate intelligent player development worldwide.
